America's Lost Highway: Montana's U.S. Highway 91

This installment in the America's Lost Highway series retraces the route of U.S. Highway 91 through Montana. Replaced by Interstate 15, U.S. Highway 91 followed a scenic and historic route through the center of Montana. The cities of Great Falls, Helena, and Butte lie on U.S. 91's route, which criss-crosses the path of the Lewis and Clark expedition as well as those of the Gold and Silver Rushes of the late 1800's. Even the discovery of oil is revisited along this route. The second edition includes reference maps, additional site information for Shelby and Galata, improved text navigation, and GPS coordinates for listed historic sites
