The Story of an American Family: The Lunt Family from 1633 to the Present

The Story of an American Family: The Lunt Family from 1633 to the Present weaves together diverse strands drawn from family memorabilia, libraries’ dusty volumes, and modern digitized archives to present the biography of a family. Rooted in England, the members of this family planted itself in the soil of New England and grew to influence American life in diverse ways—politically, economically, spiritually, and educationally. The author, Lynda Zwinger, a seasoned researcher of genealogies, author of books and articles, journal editor, and English professor, has brought to the long sweep of this history an eye for the telling details and a gift for working them into a story that both entertains and educates. The illustrations and ancillary material in The Story of an American Family supplement the narrative and help readers to envision the members of this noteworthy family in the context of their times and locales.
