Caring With Heart chronicles the author's personal and unexpected journey of caregiving of a loved one. The book is less the author's story than it is a guide for those who may be entering similar circumstances. It provides insights on at least two levels. On one level, the author describes the mental and physical processes (and anguish) that she went through as her husband's condition deteriorated. On the 2nd level, the book is directed at those who are about to start a similar journey (or are already into it). She describes the practical side of care-giving and offers many valid tips on how to ease one's daily tasks. One major insight (among many) that can be derived from her story is that a caregiver has 2 people to take care of- the loved one AND him- or herself. The author shows how she accomplished this.
