Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
Over a century ago Zeehan, on the rugged west coast of Tasmania, was a bustling and lively mining town of over 8,000 people. In 1898 the magnificent Gaiety Theatre was built by an enterprising Edward Mulcahy to hold attractions, events and performances of a wonderful variety, which were described in detail by the reporters of "The Zeehan and Dundas Herald." Venture back in time and read about the impact of war, a French transformist on a world tour, theatre walls falling down, a Tasmanian record holder, the celebrated "Mother of Blighty," stage presentations, and numerous local novelties.
