The Hailey Spruce Chronicles

Hailey Spruce, a 12-year-old farm girl, has always wanted to learn to ride horses, but her father is completely against it. A complicated journey begins when Hailey meets a mysterious wounded mare with a price on her head. Hailey knows she must do anything she can to help her. With the help of Sammy, a young boy who is basically the head of his household, will she be able to save the mare and set her free? Or will the mare be sold to the highest bidder? Only time will tell.
