In the north of Brazil lies the city of Salvador. Set upon one of the most beautiful bays in South America it is city of 3 million people, where its presine beaches are sought after by tourists from around the world, and yet within walking distance it has some of the harshest poverty. This book is about the people of Salvador and the surroundng areas, people for whom life is tough, even under the shadow of a prosperous sun for some.
