
The current economic recession is affecting the increasing number of older workers seeking employment both employers and job seekers should be aware of how to avoid age discrimination practices. The research discusses the difficulties that older people age fifty and over find seeking employment, and in the workplace. It includes difficulties experienced by the older work force who are minorities with emphasis on Hispanics, and people with disabilities. The research suggests solutions to avoid age discrimination while job interviewing, and maintaining a job. This research also explains constructive discharge, and how the U.S. Supreme Court has resolved constructive discharge cases.
