The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview and in turn a better understanding of workplace experiences that women with disabilities encounter. In order to obtain wider comprehension of this topic, secondary sources such as articles and books are used in order to analyze relevant research. In order to narrow down the topic, the focus of this paper is specifically based on two different groups of women and their western cultural experiences in the workplace. The reason for this is that when initial research began, Canada was the focus of the paper. However, due to the lack of Canadian sources, western culture was the term chosen to summarize countries such as United States, Canada and Western Europe. The two groups of women include those with physical disabilities and women with visual impairments
