A Little Book of Du Fu

Du Fu's biographer, William Hung, has noted that he has been described as, "the Chinese Virgil, Horace, Ovid, Shakespeare, Milton, Burns, Wordsworth, Béranger, Hugo, or Baudelaire". This collection contains the 58 translations of poems by Du Fu which have been developed as part of the Chinese Poems website. Each poem is presented in four texts: simplified Chinese characters, pinyin, gloss and English translation. The poems are arranged in chronological sections, and are annotated with their location in the Complete Tang Poems and cross-referenced with other translations. Many are also provided with brief explanatory notes.
