Wouldn’t you want a high IQ? With a high IQ the world would be your oyster. You could have a dream job, dream houses and enough dream cars to fill a six car garage. Would it shock you if I said having a high IQ guarantees success only 50% of the time - just like the rest of us. With a high IQ, you are 2 standard deviations or more above in IQ testing. Having a high IQ isn’t bad, you have the same opportunity of success. Which success - financial or spiritual success? The good news is that your financial and spiritual goals aren’t necessarily mutually exclusive. The bad news is your space between meetings in your day doesn’t allow you to schedule extra time in between your work and family commitments. Yet commitment to a breathing practice pays higher dividends than financial rewards because the quality of life is higher. If we take financial goals as the means to the end, and not the end in itself, then commitment, habit and the practice of Muscle Breathing isn’t beyond our means. Remember that any position and anywhere it’s possible to practice Stomach Breathing; 6 reps in less than 1 minute and you are done.
So do I prefer a high IQ or an average IQ? I don’t have a preference as they have the same opportunity for success in economic terms. What I prefer meditation and/ or Muscle Breathing as one measure of success - I believe it is harder to get there without practice.
