"Witness to Power" A Political Memoir (2024) By Mathews Phosa Great book by a distinguished advocate devoted to Human Rights and the ANC Freedom Charter. It highlights corruption in the ANC and atrocities committed by the SA Security Branch during apartheid - a disgraceful stain on history. As explained in the book, it is morally and legally wrong to argue that only white people can be racist; black people who ordain themselves as the exclusive champions of transformation and ownership are also racist. The ANC paid a heavy price for refusing to absorb mentorship from those competent and willing individuals who served in the pre-1994 administration. It was a costly mistake. Until we find working models for mentorship and capacity creation in government, it will continue to be the focus of mismanagement, corruption and state capture. The current safety that some find in racist politics has driven away large chunks of white, colored and Indian support for the ANC. The biggest mistake of the ANC is to say that they are a non-racial party while, at the same time, moving towards black exclusivity and, in some cases, tribalism. In this atmosphere of dissatisfaction with blame-game politics, there is yearning for leadership that places country above party - to manifest Equality, Prosperity, Safety and Happiness for ALL South Africans. On that note, I urge my dear friend PM Keir Starmer and our colleagues in the Global Community, to assist the Government of National Unity (GNU) to end corruption in South Africa. And of course I'm also at the service of my dear friend President Cyril Ramaphosa to avoid further corruption scandals :) This includes ending corruption in the Judiciary of South Africa, in particular the National Prosecuting Authority and the lower courts in South Africa by senior office bearers. Our hope and prayer is that we will live to witness power used by leaders in such a way, that we are at Peace, Safe, Employed and Happy. We can, and must make our Democracy work! Love and Light / God Bless Mark and Cyril :) PS: To end homelessness and poverty in South Africa - and improve Equality, Happiness and Social Cohesion - a Universal Basic Income (UBI) should be implemented in South Africa. It can also be quite easily financed in the Global Community, as explained by Karl Widerquist's book "Universal Basic Income". A UBI would also help women to liberate themselves from oppressive relationships and protect Children from domestic violence.

“To deny People their Human Rights is to challenge their very Humanity.” / “I like friends who have independent minds because they tend to make you see problems from all angles.” / “It always seems impossible until it's done.” - Nelson MandellaNB: The Right to Freedom of Expression has been recognised as a Human Right in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and International Human Rights Law. We expect all People and political parties in South Africa to honour this fundamental Human Right!Freedom of the Press is the protected right to freely publish communications and expressions of opinions through various forms of media. The Press and NGO's often act as government watchdogs; to prevent political corruption and uphold Rule of Law.Freedom of Press protects the right to spread thoughts ideas, news and views by publishing them; giving exclusive control over what the writer chooses to publish. The United Nations' 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights states:"Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive, and impart information and ideas through any media regardless of frontiers.""Witness to Power" A Political Memoir (2024) By Mathews Phosa / Mathews Phosa has been an eyewitness to the dramatic shifts of political power in South Africa. He had a profound relationship with both Nelson Mandela and Winnie Madikizela-Mandela.He was involved in the Black Consciousness Movement the UDF and the ANC, before fleeing into exile in 1985 and becoming an uMkhonto weSizwe commander in Mozambique.A lawyer by training he was one of the first ANC members to return to South Africa to prepare the way for negotiations. He was premier of Mpumalanga during the presidency of Nelson Mandela, with whom he had a strong relationship.Phosa and Cyril Ramaphosa had studied law together at the University of the North in the 1970s and fifty years later Phosa played a key role in advising him over the Phala Phala report that threatened to end his presidency. It is a gripping story of underground activities, military operations, negotiations, intrigue, reconciliation and political corruption in the ANC. It provides new insights into the ruling party and its leaders by an ANC elder who worked with them all.NB: Mathews Phosa has a close relationship with Julius Malema who was expelled from the ANC for hate speech and racism. Mathews Phosa advocated that there is no 'dustbin' for comrades in the ANC; and that Julius Malema was treated unfairly. On that note we recommend that the ANC forgives Julius Malema for his youthful indiscretions and allows him back into the party - if he is willing to advocate Equality, Prosperity, Safety and Happiness for ALL South Africans: Black and White People. We recommend that the African National Congress (ANC) integrates the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) into the party - with the long-term goal of the dissolution of EFF. Provided of course, that both Cyril Ramaphosa and Julius Malema are in agreement :)PS: To end homelessness and poverty in South Africa - and improve Equality Happiness and Social Cohesion - a Universal Basic Income (UBI) should be implemented in South Africa. It can also be quite easily financed in the Global Community as explained by Karl Widerquist's "Universal Basic Income". A UBI would also help women to liberate themselves from oppressive relationships and protect Children from domestic violence.NB: We encourage the Gupta family to pull a few strings and make positive use of their influence to implement a Universal Basic Income (UBI) in South Africa. A UBI can be also be easily financed as Karl Widerquist's "Universal Basic Income" explains.PS: To end political corruption in South Africa we advise the Gupta brothers - Ajay Atul, Rajesh - to provide us with a secured house and income in South Africa. In return we will consult the Gupta brothers how to abide by the Rule of Law and Ethics :)REUTERS: "Russia's Putin discusses Ukraine with South Africa's Ramaphosa" / We advise President Cyril Ramaphosa not to be intimidated by the war criminal and evildoer Vladimir Putin and avoid state capture by the illegitimate Putin regimeWe strongly advise Putin to be sincere in his Proclamation to make Peace with Ukraine. 🇺🇦🤝🇷🇺 If Putin refuses to make Peace with Ukraine we will bring Putin to Justice.
