This is an academic work by Feng Youlan. It's a short version of his 1934 book A History of Chinese Philosophy.
Feng Youlan (1895-1990) was a Chinese philosopher and historian, who was instrumental for reintroducing the study of Chinese Philosophy in the modern era.
The book was drafted during the period from 1946 to 1947, when Feng Youlan was employed by the University of Pennsylvania in the US.
It tells the history of philosophy in China for thousands of years in simple terms.
From the sage-kings of ancient China to the 1911 overthrow of the oldest monarchical system in the world, Chinese philosophy has evolved and influenced schools of thought around the world.
The book examines Confucianism, Taoism, Mohism, Yin-Yang and Chan Buddhism 'The Philosophy of Silence' - which was influenced by Taoist philosophy, especially Neo-Daoist 玄学 thought.
This work emphasizes the harmony between Yin and Yang in the Cosmos.
It also promotes Peace and Prosperity - individually and collectively - and World Peace.
According to this work Chinese Philosophy needs more clear thinking, and Western Philosophy needs more simplicity.
It is the harmony of Yin and the Yang that will produce the philosophy of the future, by synergizing Human Rights and Emotional Intelligence - which is synonymous to the holistic philosophy of Quantum, which includes the perception of the Universe existing in a unified whole bound together by Love.
We wish to remind all People that the importance of belonging to Humanity takes precedence over all the marks of distinction that may separate one person from another.
The thing that matters most is not that we have any particular cultural or national identity, or that we abide by any particular philosophical conviction but that we share with all People the highest values of Humanity: Love, Cooperation and Compassion.
We expect full cooperation from the CCP to manifest Democracy in China and Tibet.
