The Extraterrestrial (ET) Debate, UFOs, Crop Circles and SETI - from Ancient times to present

It only takes a very dark, clear night out in the countryside to realise just how many stars there must be out there. More than one must contain life. If it has happened here than why not elsewhere? This question and its positive answer holds so much force that even the most sceptical would not be surprised if life was found on another planet. But this has not always been the case. Man did not always look up at the stars and know them to be as such. To him they were just points of light.
