Dr. Morgan’s research in Egypt is suddenly interrupted by a visit from his cousin, Lance, who claims to have found an ancient inscription that may lead to the greatest archaeological find of all time. When Lance is later murdered, Morgan takes it upon himself to discover the truth about his cousin’s untimely death. Through the deserts of Israel and ancient Mesopotamia, Morgan and his team follow the track of Lance’s clandestine search—a search for an artifact so politically explosive, it could precipitate the next world war. Meanwhile, the shadowy forces that were arrayed against Lance regroup to oppose Morgan’s team and prevent them from finding the artifact. To the very brink of war the trail leads them as international powers intercede.
