Low Blood Sugar, The Hidden Menace of Hypoglycemia
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
Hypoglycemia is the opposite of diabetes – too little sugar in the blood. Its symptoms are: overall fatigue, nervousness, sharp hunger, trembling, rapid heartbeat, dizziness and headache. Unlike diabetes, hypoglycemia is correctable by a change in diet or, when it is caused by a diseased organ (such as the liver or pancreas), by treating that part of the body.
In addition to defining the difference between functional and organic hypoglycemia, more common ways hypoglycemia is brought on are emotional disturbances, over-indulgence in alcohol, obesity, a surfeit of such common drugs as aspirin and barbiturates.
