In Search of Charlie Brown begins with the childhood of a Milwaukee boy named Heaven and his life with his 15 year-old single mother. Later, Heaven gives account of experiences of searching for, and finding four paternal siblings he never knew existed until he was twenty-three years old and married, all living in a pretty close proximity of each other. The book is not only written from his perspective, but the perspectives of both of Heaven’s parents, and each of his newly discovered siblings as well. The book also contains poems at the beginning of each chapter that is descriptive of the emotions that each of the characters experienced. Each sibling has different upbringings, different opinions and ways of addressing dishonesty, and different ways of relating to each other. This book reveals the obstacles presented when Heaven attempts to find the family he never knew existed, and seeks the truth behind his existence.
