Six Variations on "Folias d'Espagne" for Guitar (op. 45)

This set of short pieces based on Folias by Mauro Giuliani (1782-1829) is an intermediate to advanced level piece for classical guitar. Folias was a popular musical form, or chord progression, of Spanish origin from the 16th century. Its popularity continues to this day as a compelling source of material for composers. Giuliani's variations are a wonderful concert piece as well as an opportunity for guitar students to develop fundamental techniques.
