My First Words

This book is intended for use by those Zimbabweans who are now living in the diaspora and would like to teach their children some Shona words. It has become increasingly difficult to teach Shona to our young children who were born outside Zimbabwe. The book will help them master the basic words and the pictures will also help them in their understanding of those words they will be learning. The book can also be used by those who may want to practice reading Shona, as this also seems to be a challenge with the lack of exposure to the language.
