The Gathering of Brother Hilarius

FAIRLESS, MICHAEL (PSEUD. OF MARGARET FAIRLESS BARBER. The Gathering of Brother Hilarius. Published in London by John Murray, 1901. This author's uncommon first book is a tract focusing on the Black Death. Published (as were all her works) posthumously. The author died in 1901 at the age of 32. Her most famous book, a series of meditations entitled The Roadmender, was published in 1902.
