The Seeds He Planted, The Story of an Iowa Farmer and his Grandson
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
This work contains an account of shared summer experiences on a farm in Iowa between my Grandfather and me. Those experiences are mostly presented in italics and are remembered during a flight in which I scattered my grandfather’s ashes over his beloved farm. I started out this work with the intent to simply record these experiences and discovered that they were actually seeds that grew into some of my mindsets and perspectives, key characteristics and attributes, and values and priorities. It is not my intention to stand on a soapbox in each chapter, but to present what and how the seeds planted by a wise grandfather in the mind and heart of a grandchild grew into fruit laden trees in later years—in many cases, long after the grandfather had passed away. This book is really a celebration of grandparents and highlights the important role they play in the developmental lives of grandchildren.
