This work finds the source of the "flattery images clusters" to be a conscious borrowing by Shakespeare from Ovid's Narcissus and Guillume de Loris lover in the Romance of the Rose. A modern edition of the Ovidian Source is appended, citing the Black Letter Edition of Thomas Howell's A Fable treating of Ovid's Narcissus, very pleasant to read.
