Home grown in Chicago, the Honorable Retired Judge Michael W. Stuttley grew up in A.G. -- Altgeld Gardens housing project, one of twelve children born to Ms. Geraldine Stuttley. He was educated at Carver Elementary, Upper Grades, and High School during his early academic years. He matriculated from Northern Illinois University, in DeKalb, Illinois, in three calendar years with a B.S. in Business Administration and later secured a Juris Doctorate degree from the John Marshall Law School of Chicago.
Judge Stuttley stands by very basic principles that worked. "If offenders realize there is a victim that has been impacted by their actions, it is my hope that the offender will take accountability for their actions and attempt to right their wrong. If you are willing to make amends for what you've done, we have the tools to assist you."
Judge Stuttley's commitment to his profession and community has been recognized and honored with over 350 awards and honors for his volunteerism and community service.
