It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to this inaugural issue of the conference proceedings of the International Virtual Environments Research Group. This issue is dedicated to the publication of selected papers written by researchers in Europe, Japan, Singapore from the International Conference on Immersive Technologies for Learning: A multi-disciplinary approach. Delegates to the conference came from institutions across the world and created a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere within which a wide range of exciting and innovative papers were presented on topics from across the educational, training and theoretical spectrum.
