Imagine you are trying to find your way out of a deep, dark cave that is blocked. You find that you must first press into the deepest, darkest part of it, where you cannot even see, where the air is the most stale, in order to reach the pile of rocks that must be removed one by one in utter darkness so that you may get to the light of free, open air on the other side. If you give up when it gets darkest, you cannot make it to the other side—where the air is fresh, the space is wide open, and you are finally free to run, dance, and feel the wonderful breeze of freedom on your face. A New Day: A Journey into the Light is a collection of stories, illustrations, thoughts, testimonials from my life, and poems that reveal the Truth—that there is only One Way out of darkness—and that is through Jesus Christ, who is Lord and the Son of the One True Living God. This journey was born out of my own struggles with darkness and my experience of how God has brought me through to the other side. If you are in a dark place that seems hopeless, I am here as proof that there is hope in the person of Jesus Christ. He can turn around the darkest night and use it for good. Join me now on a journey from darkness to Light—illustrated over and over again—as we declare together that Jesus Christ is Lord, and He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Jesus Christ is the Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all! Let us choose today to come out of the darkness by believing in His Holy Name, placing our trust wholly in His Goodness and Grace, and choosing to follow Him closely, that we may know Him more and more every day!
