When Chet Edson builds an advanced prototype rocket, his future seems secure; but he is attacked by colleague and placed in the rocket, heading on a crash course for Jupiter. His broken body was discovered and his spirit transferred to the body of AURO - LORD OF JUPITER, who was last read about (in comic time) 20 years earlier. This begins a strange sequence of stories, and it would be irresponsible to be the spoiler; let's just say that it's as fascinating to discover who AURO is as it is what he does. This AURO is a costumed superhero, on a very different type of Jupiter!
