The Complete White Indian - Featuring The Art Of Frank Frazetta (Paperback Edition)
Midcentury Comics #704-PB: The New (and a few old) Adventures of Dan Brand and Tipi!
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
“Way back, when our country was young, the West was still east of the Mississippi and the truly great Americans were the intrepid pioneers of the backwoods of New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio – where the woods were thick and sown with sudden death.... The greatest of the backwoodsmen was DAN BRAND – ancestor of Steve Brand – and his little Indian friend TIPI, who blazed new trails of adventure for others to follow, pushing civilization and justice across the continent of the “new” world. Here was white American and brown American fighting common enemies side-by-side!”
IN 1953 when MAGAZINE ENTERPRISES decided to revive DAN BRAND AND TIPI he was retitled WHITE INDIAN. The first three issues are reprints of Frank Frazetta stories from the original series that appeared in DURANGO KID, and then starting with Issue #4 new artists and new stories appeared. Sadly, the series only went another issue, #5 --- but we are thankful to have yet another entry into the Golden Age of both comics and the Western Legends!
If you have THE COMPLETE DAN BRAND AND TIPI, you don't absolutely need this book, because these stories are included in that collection. But you can still get it if you want to!
