Faith-based and private schools have been facing financial difficulties which have been blamed on shifting demographics, difficult economic times and new educational environments. However, schools have not taken into consideration the mindset of the audience they're trying to reach with their marketing, nor have they paid attention to how parents want to fulfill their financial obligations. Schools must change the way they do business, but, of course, no one likes change. This text presents a framework for not simply changing, but "shifting" to transform the way schools "have always done it" to accommodate the way today's parents think. Examples come from schools that currently utilize them. Individually, the strategies work. But, when they are combined to work as a system, their synergy creates a powerful magnet to hold Retention, Marketing, Enrollment and Development together to create a firm financial foundation for the school.
