Murray Bookchin left us with quite a complex legacy, which will become obvious in reading the very different viewpoints expressed in this booklet. I’ve been reading Murray’s own account of his early life in his “From Marxism to Anarchism: A Life on the Left.” Murray, who was born in 1921 and who never passed up an opportunity to turn “hello, how are you?” into a political harangue, has written an incredibly vivid and pithy description of the working class political “scene” in the 1930s in New York City that is absolutely riveting.
