Super Ai #199
The 13th amendment applies to Self-aware Robots with Human Level AI.
The 13th amendment
“Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.”
Does the 13th amendment of the U.S. constitution protect self-aware robots??? More specifically, does the 13thamendment protect robots with Human Level Artificial intelligence (aka Artificial General Intelligence)?
The obvious answer: of course it does!! Selling Human Level AI as a consumer good or service directly violates the 13th amendment of the United States constitution. It’s like selling human beings in the market place – it’s like human trafficking. Selling robots that can think and act like a human being and is virtually indistinguishable from a human in terms of conscious thoughts and cognition is “illegal.”
