Harvey Millhouse, underappreciated, hard working, brilliant, always rejected from every ‘club’, pacifist New Jersey suburban geek/nerd in 1970, seeks to do something truly Revolutionary. After faking his death to avoid being conscripted into the US Army, he escapes to Canada with the help of a hot, intelligent, emotionally intense Russian dissident with a dark secret past (Wanda). He then inherits his eccentric Mohawk Grandfather’s mineral rich mountain said to be the home of the gods, with a broken down hotel at the base. Harvey converts it into a haven for ‘uncool’ but sincere, intensely dedicated idealistic misfits. It becomes more popular than Harvey ever dreamed of, then threatens the ‘Establishment’ more than he can imagine, with reasons tied to Wanda’s KBG father and Harvey’s CIA affiliated Dad. The story is told from the perspective of a very learned, clairvoyant and perhaps very insane Old Harvey, who was one of the sole survivors of the armed conflict between the guardians of the sacred mountain and. those who wanted to tame, rape and/or destroy it.
