The Flute At the Opera

The Flute At the Opera

ByMohammad ALRumaihMohammad ALHamdan

Lodovico Abandonato was dragged through an archaic foster system, wrought with neglect and tribulation. He spends his formative years in Venice, Italy. He finds solace as a student and assistant to Giuseppe Alvaro, a brilliant orchestra conductor/composer for Teatro La Fenice. He forms a lasting bond with Guiseppe’s daughter, Lucia, as they develop a mastery of various instruments. Lodovico’s instrument of choice was the flute. Using this, he enlists into the military, with a pay increase as a musician. His time in the service leaves him with a tragic past, and an abysmal profession. He continues to run from his own reality, as those in his wake run for their lives.
