The algae found at Banganga Water Reservoir near Bhoom in Dharashiv district of Maharashtra were collected between 2021 and 2023. During the present survey, species of desmid Euastrum of the Desmidiaceae family were observed from the study area. This communication describes seven species of Euastrum from the water reservoir viz. Euastrum spinulosum Delp. var. burmense (West et west) Krieger, E. spinulosum Delp. var. inermius Nordstedt., E. spinulosum Delp., E. pseudotuddalense Messik, E. platycerum Reinsch, E. irregulare Gonzalves et. Gangla and E. elegans (Breb) Kutz.
