Themba, a promising Social Sciences University graduate decides to carry on a study of vagrancy and street life in his hometown of Bulawayo. He gets sucked in way too deep to come out as hours turn to days, months, years and a full decade. He mingles with all manner of outcasts, learning the ways of the streets, battling for territory, food and for dear life. Scarface, a hardened exconvict long dominating the streets finally meets his end. Vagabond lady, of questionable faculties is pregnant with child, who is the father? She cheats death, plotted by a 'good samaritan.' NakaTaurai is a well-to-do, working class woman not homeless but having her own spots in the sprawling streets. A police blitz collides their worlds, freeing some and unravelling the lives of others. There are as many twists in the tales of these lives as there are turns on the bustling streets of the metropolis,it's the very brink of society.
