Feminization of Immigrant Labour Market

This paper discusses the trend towards the feminization of immigrant labour market in developed receiving countries. It points out the fact that an increasing number of female migrants are traveling not for the purpose of joining their husbands but to find jobs of their own. In this regard, international migration is understood to be a mechanism of women empowerment in most sending countries.
