The University at Buffalo (SUNY), Buffalo State College, and The Institute for European Union Studies at SUNY (IEUSS) presented the first European Union and World Politics international conference on. October 5-6, 2012 This conference was positioned at a seminal time to study Europe's role in world affairs.
The objective of the conference was to bring together emerging scholars from several disciplines to discuss the role of the European Union as an international actor in world politics. The papers in this volume outline the role of a the EU in world politics but also highlight the problems with the EU as a unified international actor. These questions will continue to interest politicians and scholars well into the future and it is the objective of this volume to contribute to that discussion
