The Benefit Season

An immensely desirable bachelor, and an irresistible married woman, working together in a sports management company that deals with cricketers’ careers, vanish suspiciously at the same hour in two different cities; one from his engagement ceremony, and the other, from her anniversary party. The broader view is that the two, tired of their humdrum commitments, have eloped. Is it really true, or is it merely a far-fetched coincidence? Or is there really much more when you scratch at the surface? Crime investigations by a bumbling threesome of an ace detective, her elfish husband and the fat baby in tow point towards a murky cricket-betting underworld where insatiable greed, seduction, match fixing, mob torture and betrayal lurk at every step.
