The poems in the collection Gate reflect the uneasiness of their authors from the picture of modern life, the death of loved ones and unrequited love, and their rejection of these. That is why the collection of poems is dominated by pessimistic tones that should not surprise us despite the youth of the authors. What is surprising, however, is the obsession with death that emerges as a common poetic idea. In addition to the poetic idea of death (death is sometimes identified with love), in circulation with beauty, love itself, greed, deception, truth, evil, loneliness, master-slavery, escape, dream, birth, etc. Within them, black is elaborated with posthumous processes and vampires (outside and inside us). Authors of Gate sings metaphorically strong, prosodically strictly, aesthetically
supremely. Mature poetry expressed through carefully selected, powerfully active, expressive vocabulary. Аuthors that penetrate deeply into the secrets of the word and deep into the most subtle spaces of the soul... Modern poets who, with manners of a knight, stamps the destructive moralism in society, the crisis of authority, the inability to solve social problems. They are not burdened to invent, but only to discover; which does not risk creating new metaphors, but to show the real ones - those that exist between two images, those that may have always existed – they confirms Borges' definition that a poetic image that only one man can imagine does not actually touch anyone. Only this way it is possible to understand their determination to declare themselves as opponents of intellectual autism, by which some poets try to hold the aura of intolerance, as if it is only another expression of intellectual enlightenment which they make by writing their poems. Authors of Gate declare war on decadent passion and fiercely protest against distorted truth and insolence.
