Roux de Marcilly - Syndic der Conféderation du Dix Confédérés

ByNikolaus Pfander

Louis XIV, normally seen as the flawless, untouchable sun-king, was - in contrary to that image - a lifelong victim of blackmail. His reign was a constant cover-up, not only centering on the identity of his illegitimate father and his two triplet-bothers, but in addition his severe opium abuse and illegal counterfeit-money-production. First victim of the legacy-cover-up was a huguenot named Roux de Marcilly, member of a secret resistance society, living in London together with Louis' two triplets, keeping them as valets. Louis fears blackmail by opposing British government members, who had been completely aware of his delicate situation, Roux was lured to neutral Swizz soil, kidnapped and forced to commit suicide by foreign secretary Lionne, who feared disclosure that he himself sold secrete state papers to Holland - via Sardan, mysterious double agent and hospitalier, who carrys the key.
