Nimat Marie, is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her journey as a Muslim began explosively; therefore, she shares the story of her mother's reaction to her conversion to Islam in Chapter One. Futhermore, Nimat has overcome adversity in the face of trauma. Many boulders or obstacles stemming from a sometimes complicated childhood, teenager adolescence and a young adult life required a tremendous amount of prayer, perseverance and introspection to become a whole and sound person. Her goal now is to help as many people as she can understand life and rise above obstacles by providing encouragement so that these same individuals may come to understand their value and continue with G_d's help to move forward with a determine spirit. Nimat says, "Oftentimes life trials take a toll on our emotional state. A weaken emotional state can cloud our judgement resulting in serious consequences thus, strengthening our emotional self becomses a much-needed part of the healing process."--Nimat Marie Author
