country to its original sense. Therefore, efforts at finding out the dynamics of teacher
stress can Be extremely useful in revitalizing the teaching-learning scenario of a country.
The present work is an empirical attempt at investigating the nature and sources of
teacher stress among secondary school teachers in West (Bengal and exploring its
relationship with some selected variables. The present study is almost in all probability
will broaden the periphery of knowledge emanating from teacher stress and help the
future aspirants to go longer in that field for research work in a systematic and
authentic way and is expected to be of added help to developing competence to plan,
execute and report research and in enhancing the ability to apply research findings and
to comprehend the essentials of the reported research.
