This book seeks to uncover the reasons behind the division of the Church. We must understand that the concept of the Church was based on principles of the Word of God as revealed by Jesus Christ and that, at His ascension, He left the discipling of the world at the hands of His disciples. At the time, the Church was one and of one accord, united in the work of salvation, one doctrine and one Lord. Earlier on, Jesus had prayed that they should be one so that the world would believe. A few hundred years later, when the original twelve had all slept in the Lord, the Church was faced with doctrinal confusion which led to the rise of Arianism and many other beliefs which were based on human understanding. Jude had mentioned that the devil had already planted his agents in the Church so as to cause division. Jesus had also taught on the subject when He said; “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand”.
