I.G. Poetry Volume:1

Hello, My name is Or’Kiya “Mz. Kiki” Kamau — a proud Navy Veteran, devoted mother of two, and newly emerging poet with a passion for self-expression and healing through words. What began as a personal journey of healing through poetry on my old Instagram page has now blossomed into something far greater — a published book. These poems were first written as a lifeline, helping me navigate the storms of PTSD, anxiety, heartbreak, loneliness, and depression. Through writing, I began to rediscover myself, make sense of the world around me, and reconnect with my inner light. This collection offers a deeply personal glimpse into my thoughts and emotions during 2021–2022 — a season of both struggle and growth. It’s raw, reflective, and real. By sharing my story, my hope is to inspire others to face their own truth, embrace their journey, and find the courage to shine their light for someone else who may need it.
