THE LAST GUNFIGHTER

Dirk Brandon, an old gunfighter, is tired of the travel, the killings, and of always being alone. After years on the trail, he is headed home to hang up his guns, find his childhood sweetheart Maria, and get married. Along the way, he breaks old man McCracken's tyrannical grip on Willow Ridge, stops an outlaw gang that is terrorizing Eagles Roost, rescues a rancher's daughter and kills the corrupt sheriff who is holding her for ranson,captures the killer of an old friend's son, and avenges the crippling of another. When he finally gets home and starts to see Maria, the marshal stops him. Rather than face hanging for killing the corrupt sheriff, Dirk chooses to fight. But the marshal is faster. While he lies dying, Maria agrees to marry him. She doesn't have the heart to tell him she is already married to the marshal that just shot him.
