Instructor's Manual for Elizabeth, the Eastern Gray School

The students for these instructional lesson plans are third grade students. The curriculum standards correlate to South Carolina Department of Education requirements. The target audience is English Language Learners (ELLs) who are still learning the English language, students who are learning disabled with reading difficulties, or students who are below third grade-level in English/language arts (specifically reading and writing). The reading comprehension has an impact on the success of the students’ social studies, mathematics, science, and English/language arts since the students are required to read and comprehend the textbooks and work assignments. The lessons are designed to accompany the book, "Elizabeth, the Eastern Gray Squirrel," and the associated website.
