Glenferrie Hill Recreational Club - A Memoir - 1907-2001

The history of the Glenferrie Hill Recreation Club can be told, in part, as the story of the prominent men of influence who were members of the Club. They gave willing support to the Club as well as being involved in many other community organizations and their own businesses. They were generous with their time and talents and many were considerable benefactors of the Club. They were strongly supported by the lady croquet players. The growth of the Glenferrie Hill Recreation Club, as its fortunes are followed, reflects the influences of the economic and social conditions of the past century.
