Bertram Beaver is the bane of Burke's existence. Burke hates the huge rodent with a passion, chiefly because of the dams he builds on his property. Conversely, his daughter Betty loves beavers so much she often dreams she is a beaver herself! The two are at loggerheads until a surprising incident changes Burke's view forever, and father and daughter work together to make the beavers lives as pleasurable as possible. A book in poem form for children that tells them all about the beaver and its habits.
