Heaven's Reluctant Soul

This heartwarming tale is a combination of two short stories. The first part begins with one of God's new souls, finding he will soon be asked to leave Heaven, for a lifetime on earth. Not liking the sound of that, he decides to run away, sending him on his first Heavenly adventure. The second part is about an angel, whose only hearts desire is to become a Gardening Angel, but realizes she has no idea how to even begin such a task, and finds she must first gain as much experience as she can in Heaven before taking on such an important job.
