Nia Singleton is living the dream, or, at least she hopes to. When Nia lands the audition of a lifetime, she packs up and moves from Michigan to California, hoping to land the part. When she arrives, she quickly realizes that becoming a actress isn't as easy as it looks in the movies, and learns the hard way that not everything is as it seems. Nia and her room mate, Khalil, become fast friends, but Khalil has problems of his own. Still reeling after he and his girlfriend split up, Khalil sets out to prove that he isn't the lazy slacker everyone thinks he is... but that, much like Nia's hopes, is a lot easier said than done. "Soundtrack of my life" is a quirky, light hearted, close-to-home coming of age comedy drama full of twists, turns, successes and failures as both Khalil and Nia discover that "In order to become the person you want to be, you can't remain the person you are."
