Paul Rogers was the medical illustrator for the Department of Surgery at Cooper University Hospital for nearly three decades. When you take a guy like Paul who genuinely says, "I love blood and guts!" and couple it with the fact that he graduated summa cum laude from 'The Comedy College' in Philadelphia, you get what's in this book-an, er, unique perspective on medical and non-medical situations. During Paul's typical 'day in the office' at the hospital, you never heard words like "Gross!" or "That's foul!!" emitting from him, but rather, he would silently say to himself, "How cool is that!". So, enjoy a chuckle on Paul. And if some of this stuff doesn't make you grin, then just a little snicker or grunt would suffice-and that may be just the medicine you need to get better a little sooner! But beware, if you are a patient, emitting any kind of unusual sounds -whether they are provoked by silly cartoons or not-may prompt your nurse to run yet another uncomfortable test. And that would be bad. So open this book and take your chances. And if you don't think these cartoons are funny, Paul might just call Nurse Ratchet and make sure she orders you a whole barrage of uncomfortable tests! (Just kidding . . . really.)
