In the marriage ceremony,
Sal kissed Nene on her mouth
on the screen.
Maybe through the screen
there is another side
hidden, where impulses,
distracted, deflected,
electronically scattered
can gather at the other end
and turn toward love.
But love, in its ascendancy
and sentiency
can get lost or misplaced,
even as creatures of our minds
return to court us.
